Jack-O’-Lantern & Pumpkin Recycling

Buy your Halloween pumpkins now at Masterson’s Garden Center and the East Aurora Co-op, then  bring them back post-Halloween to help us make rich, organic compost that can help next year’s pumpkin crops grow! Please remove candles and decorations before dropping them off.

Why recycle your pumpkins? The turned windrow compost process breaks down pumpkins aerobically so very little methane and climate-changing gases are produced compared to when they are sent for disposal. Even better, the Full Circle compost that results from recycling your pumpkin improves soil to help new plants grow with less chemical fertilizer. It’s a win – win for the environment!

Drop-off is available:

@ Masterson’s November 1 & 2 from 9 AM – 6 PM and November 3 from 9 AM – 4 PM.

@ East Aurora Co-op November 3 from 10 AM – 4 PM.
